Freedom of Bravados Movements (Bobby)
Now I know what girls feel when wearing a skirt, but I have to say it's ok. You can go and do everything with easy movements; indeed you can run while your skin has a natural transpiration. Bravados, we have to create our own tartan.
Great weekend at Inverness. Anahi.

I'm going to tell what I do some days. I like to know all the neighbourhoods of Edinburgh. I take a bus and go upstairs, and watch all the views and interesting things....gardens,flowers, houses, and so on. I sometimes change and take another route and continue my journey. Edinburgh surprises me a lot. It's a wonderful city.

Clara Kilts
I've enjoyed the most the kilts at the party yesterday. All the men wore kilts and it was funny.
We went from one pub to another drinking different things, talked and laughed together.
What's more, we took photos.
I'd recommend it.

DaViD. Travelling in the double decker bus.
Arriving in the city centre from Sighthill Neuk is easy, there are several services each day no from the sunrise (because here this happen at 3 p.m.) to the sunset. First time that I took on the bus I went down on the second floor and enjoyed the views, but isn't this that I want to tell.
To take on a bus here I think is a new experience, only you have to look arround yourself, you are travelling with different kind of folks from another countries, unknown persons whose an unknown destiny, they can look you and smile or they can look you badly. The bus is infected of bottles, bricks, newspapers, kleenex and several other diary things, but is really saffety due to the saffety cameras, like the big brother program.
Last Monday evening I came back to my home in number 3 Lothian bus, it was late and in the bus there were not too much passengers, just when I was waiting in the exit a drunk next to me started to vomit, was a bit unpleasant but this is the life.

The German clock
Hi teachers!
Last week, on Sunday, I went to the National Museum of Scotland with my host family. There were not so many people there so, we could visit many places in. On the first floor of the museum there was quite an interesting clock made by German people,I think so, which tell diferent events ocurred during the last century. Also, I visited the Technology and Mineral areas. The museum is really big so, it needs more than one day for a complete visit. At the end I could see a Scotish dance, very beautiful. I recommend visiting it.

Hello everybody!
After ten days here, I feel well in this very beautiful city. People are vey friendly in spite of having some difficulties to understand them.
On Sunday I went to the National Museum of Scotland. I recommend visiting the terrace, beautiful views of Edinburgh.
If you want to take a coffee or a cake in front of the Castle, don't forget to go to The Elephant House.

veronica,
hello i,m Veronica.
I come from Madrid like the other teachers that go to this course.
At the beggining I was a bit upset because I didn;t Know any member of the group but now I am more relaxed because all the teachers are very nice.
Last year I should do this course but I couldn;t do it because I was pregnant and I had my baby in June.
Now I am a bit sad because I miss my baby but I think that staying here is going to be good.
The begginig of the travel was a disaster because we don;t have the luggage but now we are more relaxed because we have all our things.
My host family is a bit serious but they give me good food and the house is cleaned and another possitve thing is that I live near the Stevenson College Edinburg.

Hi everyone,
First week here. Nice city and nice family. I haven't got time to visit the city centre but the weekend is almost here and I hope I'll have time to walk around then.
Well, today I'm not in the mood to write any more, maybe tomorrow or next week.

My first days at Stevenson's College, Evangelina
After a stressfull and long training course in Madrid, followed by an intensive work at school and almost no time to prepare the case, our trip to Edinburg came with some unpleasant surprises. To start with ,we suffered a two hours delay on the plane in London and when we arrived in Edinburg the weather was waiting for us with a special typical pouring and that was not everything, our cases were not here. Then there was a nervous time, but at least Jenny got in charge of everything and we could trust her at all times.
My family was very welcoming and the school is oganizing quite slowly already.
Goodbye by now Eva

Rober (Bravados team leader)
My first day in Edinburgh was quite strange for me, because it was the first time that an airflight company lost my luggage. Although the trip was really exhausting I was very excited with the idea of living for a month abroad. I'm one of the people who live in Portsburgh Court, which is the name of the residence, and I'm very glad with the place and with my partners.
The worst part of the arrival besides the luggage issue was the weather; I mean that we came from 30 to 10 degrees.
Anyway I expect to have a really good time with my gorgeous group and have a lot of BRAVADOS PARTIES with kilts and sporrans. Tremble Nessie tremble the bravados group is here.
Also I want to send a Spanish and bravado kiss to my new "wife".
How will i look like wearing a kilt?...Fran
The Edinburgh city centre is beautiful, I was impressed when I first saw it the day before yesterday. The weather is not helping, but i'm sure it will the next weeks we are staying here. No more chucketing down, please!
Everything here look old and remind the ancient times when Scottish fought against English to defend their land. Go Scotland!!
We are planning to go to a Ceilidh wearing the traditional Scottish clothing. Since we are very good dancers and look very Scottish, nobody will notice the difference between the natives and us, i'm sure.
See you after our trip to the Highlands. Tremble, Leganes Monster!!!
Cheers!

My first days in Edinburgh (Raquel)
The begining in U.K was a kaos and a bit depressing because we had two delays in our trips and the lugage was lost, but little by little the cloud was going far away from us and we are better now.
I'm living here with Ms Anna Caro near Meadows Park. In the same house there is two other persons, Frank and Julie (a French girld who is working here)
I want to hilight the Ceilidh night, it was wonderful.
I'm happy because I came to Edinburgh completely alone and now I don't feel like that because I've known a fantastic group of people.

PALOMA's first days
Hello you lot!!
These first days in Edinburgh have been weird, with our luggage lost and all the new things we're still getting used to. Luckily, now everything seems to be settling down. My host family is superb, they help me a lot and they are very kind to me! I really felt very welcomed when I first arrived.
But for the big problem of the luggage, we've started to get into the Scottish shoes, dancing at the Ceilidh and having pints! Edinburgh is an enchanting city and when I wander around it seems I'm inside a fairytale!! I do believe that the best is still to come, so be ready to have fun!!!!
Lots of love

Hello everybody
I'm having such a great time with you all and I'm really looking foward to going to the Highlands on Friday. I'm sure we'll have so much fun.
I know it's been a very demanding experience but it's getting better and better and I'm sure we'll remember it for ever.
Anyway, are we going shopping today or what?

It's me, Silvia Star!!
Hi, here we are!!
We are having a class in the computer room.
It is 12.29 so in 46 minutes we are going to have lunch. Lucky us!!
Although we have had a lot of problems since we arrived in Edinburgh we are enjoying it.
On Sunday we had to take two flights ( from Madrid to London and from London to Edinburgh) and each one was delayed by one hour.
But we felt proud because we were flying with the best company in the world: British Airways, not a cheap one like for example: Easyjet (but straight from Madrid to Edinburgh)
Once in Edinburgh we had no luggage.
At 9 o'clock we were having dinner and the following day, at 9 o'clock again, we were in the college, ready to start (with the same clothes from the day before, but no problem!!)
Since then, we have visited a primary school and the Parliament. Some of us have had some pints and yesterday we enjoyed an Indian dinner.
I'm so tired now that I'm going to stop typing, but I promise that one day I'll continue.
Bye, enjoy our time here as much as possible.
Loch Ness, be ready that... we're coming, we're coming!!!!

Edinburgh is a beautiful city.
Yesterday we were dancing Ceilidh with Jenny, although I was very tired I enjoyed it a lot.
I live in a host family, her name is Pamela. She is very polite and charming.
We hit it off straight away when we first met. We have a lot in common: we like the same kind of music, we talk for hours about everything, we have the same interest and outlook .....

Hello!
I'm a teacher from Madrid (Spain), this is my third day in Edinburgh and I feel very good but it was quite different the first day because i didn't know what it would happen here.
It began with a terrible day... the plane was delayed for 2 hours, we had to change in London and we landed without our luggage so everybody was very worried.
In the airport, Jenny was waiting for us , the person who is the coordinator of this course.
when I arrived at family's home the host introduced me to her sons and showed me my room. After that, I talked to Christine (my host family) for a long time and she made me feel welcome. I think that they are a good family.

soledad. My first day in Edinburgh
Hello, everyone:
I was very excited about my journey to Edinburgh.
When I arrived here I was very tired because the plane was delayed for 2 hours more or less
Luggage didn' t arrive and now, three days later, I don't know where it is, so I'm very worried and stressed about it. My English level is not enough to communicate what I'm feeling.
I hope all will be better soon and forgot this difficults days.

Hi! my name is Santiago, i'm a man and i work in a school in Madrid, yes , i'm a teacher, a teacher of P.E.
My first day in Edinburgh was very strange and a little bad. The journey was very long and we had two hours of delay in London. When i arrived at Edinburgh 's airoport i ran and looked for my luggage, but suddenly near the machine only stayed spanish teachers. We were astonished Where was the luggage? we asked . At the end, we decided take a taxis and arrived at home with our hosts. We were exhausted and stressfed.
My landlady is a pleasend person, she is more or less 65 years old and she speaks to me all the time.
When arrived at home i was the only studient in the house but today we are waiting for a portugese studient.
I live near Stevenson College, in 7 minutes i can arrive, and it is not necesary to take a bus for me, this is very good because I can get up later than other studients of my class. I have been lucky

I was a little affraid. I did not know anything about Edinburgh city and the style of live in. After a lot of difficulties at the arrival to Edinburgh because ours luggages of us did not arrive, we took the taxis in order to get home. We were three people in same taxi but it was the last to arrive home. The host and her daugther were standing at the door of the house waiting for me with a very kind expression in their faces. I had a good impression of them.
After that first moment
a little embarrassing, the host helped me with my hand luggage and showed me my bedroom. She seemed me a little shy and a very calm person.
A few minutes later she prepared dinner for me.They had just had dinner. She was cooking an excellent lasagna.
Then ,we were talking for a long time. She said me that she was born in Australia and she came to Edinburgh when she was a child.
After that, she showed me the way to arrive to the college in the next morning.
it was a very nice first contact.

Living in Edinburgh. David
I'm a Spanish student in Edinburgh. I have arrived at the city last Sunday evening without luggage because this had disappeared in the airport, but this it's not important because my lodge an my family host are wonderful. I ' m living in Sighthill Neuk, a residential area in the south of the city centre.
I'm going to tell you an intersting experience thar I have lived last afternoon: at five in the afternoon I arrived at Princes street, I was admiring the casttle for a long time, and the medows, the churchs, hills, another buildings... really amazing. A huge rock in the middle of a city, incredible. In the Royal Mile I had the dinner with a friend of mine while we were listening a bagpiper playing a traditional tune. After this a group of spanish teachers went to The Lot, a pub in an old and traditional building from Edinburgh, here the culture is intensive and warm in spite of the weather: Ceilidh it's a typical Scotish dance, we were dancing during two hours, Can you imagine thousands years ago a little shire in Highlands of Scotland? People celebrating the harvest or the begining of the summer. You have to come.

I woke up very early in the morning with my flatmates, and after breakfast we went to the bus stop. we found the bus stop very fast and we waited for the bus, 5 minutes, 10, 20, 30 and then somebody said "are we sure that this is the right 35 bus stop?", then one of us went to see the timetable, and there was written "this stop is cancelled from 19th to 24th of June".
It was 9:10 am. and the new course started at 9 o'clock. Eventually we arrived at Stevenson College, but unfortunately 1 hour late and everybody was waiting for us.
The rest of the day was quite good but of course without our luggage, because it was flying in some aircraft all around the world.`

First task
Hi everyone,
Your first post should be about your first days at Stevenson College and in Edinburgh.
I will come round and help you with any language queries, either while you are drafting your post, or to help you edit it after you have posted it.
Then I would like you to read about each other's experiences and add a comment to your friend's post.
Happy blogging!
Isobel
